Hot Chocolate

6 cups milk

1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

1 ½ cups quality semi-sweet chocolate chips 

1 ½ cups heavy cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

In a large pot combine all ingredients over low heat. Use a whisking periodically to prevent chocolate from burning. Heat for 30 minutes, until chocolate is fully melted and mixed in with other ingredients. Use an immersion blender just before serving.

This is too much for us, so I store it in a container in the refrigerator. Use before the expiration date on your milk and cream. I have also used half and half.
